I want to see the healthcare debate move forward. I know the legislation has passed but it is still an important issue. So please watch this video and if you disagree, help me understand by commenting with your counter arguments. Don’t bother posting anything related to “death” panels, or other cockamamie, un-thought, fabricated arguments generated by a certain foxy media companies. I challenge you to do better and really make the case against it.

My bias: I believe healthcare is an essential service for everyone. I agree that we “socialize” many other essential services like fire departments, water management, utilities, coast guard, etc. The problem with our current status quo is that the primary objective of private insurer’s is profit not healthcare. They profit most when people are denied coverage and left suffering. So, I am pro public option- but would love to hear valid points from the other side.

The debate has been watered down with hate speech and other garbage. The arguments against healthcare that have been popularized don’t hold water upon the first counter-argument. Please educate me on the side against the reform and the public option in the comments section!
